Fruit Kebabs

Fresh fruit threaded onto skewers. Fruit that will keep:

  • Melon
  • Grapes (sliced lengthways)
  • Strawberries
  • Blueberries
  • Blackberries
  • Kiwis
  • Pineapple

 

Fruit that needs to be eaten straight away:

  • Banana
  • Apples
  • Pears

 

Other equipment needed

  • Skewers
  • Knife (supervised by an adult)
  • Melon baller (optional)
  • Cookie cutters (optional)

 

Side orders:

  • Yoghurt
  • Chocolate sauce

Chocolate dipping sauce

Ingredients:

50g chocolate broken into pieces

25ml double cream

1 dessert spoon golden syrup

10g butter

 

Instructions:

Pour the double cream into a microwave safe bowl and add the chocolate.

Heat in a microwave for ten second bursts, checking and mixing between each.

Once melted, add the butter and golden syrup and stir well until the butter has melted and the sauce is smooth and silky.

Leave to cool slightly, then enjoy.

Fresh Orange Juice

Ingredients:

Oranges

 

Instructions:

Cut each orange in half

Squeeze into a glass (if you want less pulp, use a hand juicer with a strainer)

Drink and enjoy
