The moment was quite surreal,

The moment was full of shock.

I stood up in front of everyone,

Stopping the handles on the clock.

For this was my moment.

As my teachers, friends and parents looked on full with glee.

This was a moment to absorb and be 'proud of me'

I had written my poem, with emotions from inside.

I had won the Bardd and was beaming with pride!

What an honour it was and what an honour it is now.

To be able to come back to the School I love,

and let the next person take a bow!
